Maybe someone could help me out I would like to fill the opening in my fence about 10 ft wide with two approx. 5 ft manual sliding gates
I have looked for what seems like hours for sliding gate kit for wooden fence
I have 6ft stockade built with 4x4 posts 2x4 stringers and 1 X 6 dogeared pickets
I looked into pocket door hardware and also barn stall hardware but its not going to work
I do not mind building it from scratch with channels rollers etc
but I need some help here!
Any ideas would be helpful
Also adapting chain link sliding cantilever hardware seems like the difficult way to go
I would like the sliding gate behind the exiting fence also
I see wheels could be on bottom of sliding gate but it would also need rollers somewhere else to keep gate from being pushed over
Well you get the idea
Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!

I see a couple of possibilities:

1. Rollers on the bottom to support the gates with guide rollers at the top to hold the gates upright.

2. Tall posts on both sides supporting a beam and overhead track similar to a barn door track.

Yes I thought of that bottom rollers or wheels 2 trolleys lets say would be good
Posts set back from front and back of sliding panel with track and rollers that fit in track and rollers cannot be taken out locked inside C shaped track
Have rollers for track attached to sliding panel
Now if I could find a track and corresponding rollers I could get an idea
Also have this track about a 1/3 down from top
I would be looking at two sliding panels meeting in the middle one side about 42" wide and the other about 64 " wide
I was trying to look on youtube.com watching some sliding gates in action gates but there were no closeups of track or rollers
If I could find as I said a c track and rollers that stay locked in I could start with a mock up
The rollers need to be locked in so sliding panel does not fall over and of course it can not be pushed in or pulled out to get inside gate

I am going to fill the actual opening of 112 inches with 2-55 inch X 6ft high gates in a basic z frame...I add wheels later on if they sag
I miscalculated I dont have enough room for sliding gate hopefully the two gates with survive without sagging
I was wondering (I would like to use three T hinges) what size T hinges I could use thanks
