engine stops while in use. Fuel line is rotten in tank. BRILLIANT!!!
So I replaced both the source and return tubes. Now it won't prime properly. Each time I depress the bulb, it sends air down the tube to the filter in the tank. Bubbles, Bubbles bubbles.
What did I do wrong?

Sounds like you have the lines reversed, the primer sucks fuel from the tank using the line with the filter attached, through the carb and returns it back to the tank through the return line. Have a good one. Geo

some units have check valves in the suction line or fuel filter assy.
