Kenmore Fridge side by side model 50022003 is dead. Nothing seems to be powered. Is there a fuse? Does anyone have a schematic? Any suggestions?

Thanks

when you open the doors do the lights come on? Look at the model number again- there should be 3 small numbers, a period and then some more numbers. What are the 3 small numbers? They indicate who made the fridge.

examples- 106 = Whirlpool, 253 = Fridgidaire. 363 = GE. 596 = Amana

It is at another house. I'll go there tomorrow and check the prefix. Thanks for the response.

Okay, the mfg code is 105. Also the light does not come on either.

Sorry for the incorrect mfg code. The correct one is 106. I think maybe this is the reason I got no more replies.

I'm sorry, your question seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. Are you sure the electrical receptacle is energized? Is it a GFI recepacle? They have a little reset button on them. If the oulet is hot, you'll need to start tracing wire from the cordset into the fridge. There should be a schematic behind the front grill on the front at the bottom. Sometimes, they are attached to the inside of the grill and easy to miss.
