My outside compressor fan went bad. Stopped working then was stuck then with manual turning and some WD-40 got it spinning again. Working for now. Anyway, trying to get replacement motor. The motor is a GE 5KCP37BGN758BS. I have been searching for replacements and none come near the specs of this particualr unit or at least I can't find them. The motor labels indicates: Amps .80 RPM 1100 Hz 60 HP 1/10 Cap 5.00/370

The biggest issue from what I have seen seems to be the HP of 1/10. Don't see any that have that HP with the rpms and otehr specs even close.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please ? or can someone tell me what is next closest that would be acceptable ?

It very well could be. Although mine was a GE. Wish I could see more model specs. I was trying to figure out where to buy this motor you have pointed to. Not sure where there is a service center or place that sells same.

You most likely have what is lovingly referred to as an OEM motor. The original manufacturer often makes designs some odd configurations that are close, but not quite, standard.

many suppliers have cross references. MSC Supply; Grainger Supply are a couple. There are many others.

on top of that, depending on what is different, a motor that does not fit your specs exactly can often be used.

What do you mean you wish you could see more model specs? Do you mean on your motor or on a replacement motor? Don't get hung up on brand names. all manufacturers make motors that will replace each others. Is your unit a Carrier? If yes, what is the Carrier part # on the motor? What is the diameter of your motor?

Grainger Industrial Supply (http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/viewCatalogPDF.shtml?browserCompatable=true&adobeCompatable=true&toolbar=true&CatPage=67)

Look at 4UY86 Will that work?

I knew I did not write down enough things off the motor as it is on my rental unit and I would have to go back to check. I was just trying to figure if the part you pointed to has the same specs although based on what is there it looks like an exact match. Now I just have to find out how to get it.

I think either one you have kindly pointed me to would be sufficient. They appear very close to OEM specs. Of the two you showed me would there be a preference by manufacturer? I believe each has a distributor in the City I am located in.
