Hello -

I'm looking for some help, I have extremely hard water from my well. I had my well installed 4 weeks ago. I'm looking for treatment to remove the sulfur smell, rust stains that hit instantly leave in the toliets.

Here is what i have..

Iron is 0.75 PPM
Hardness 50+ GPG
PH 6.9
Salt 40.0 PPM (This is the quotation from the Rid O' Rust system"

I was looking at the Fleck 9100SXT with Metered Usage. - ? What grain usage should i buy?

Also any recommended Fleck system for the Iron / Smell removal?

i was looking at the Contentico Systems - but they are big bucks. If i had the money i would buy one. Please let me know what is your opinons on what size system i would need.

thanks,

mike jajkowski

There are only a couple ways to rid the water of sulfur. Aeration and oxidation/filtration. I've always use chlorination/dechlorine to get rid of the smell in the water. It will also take care of the iron.
Why are you leaning toward a Fleck 9100? With a twin tank unit, you are buying almost 2 softeners but only using 1 at a time.
How many people are in the family? Have to know your water usage before I can size a softener up.
