I recently had a light fixture lose power in my bathroom. The bathroom is very small and has only a 60 Watt Light fixture and one outlet. I tried replacing the fixture itself, but this didn't work. I also replace the switch which also didn't work. I checked the breaker box and everything is on. I tried to shut down the main switch and the switch to the bathroom and turned them back on, but this didn't work either. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? Is the breaker switch bad or do I have a bigger problem on my hands?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Please don't take this wrong, but did you install a known good bulb? Is there a GFCI receptacle anywhere nearby that could have tripped? How do you know there is no power to the bulb base? Have you tested it for power? Is there power to the receptacle you mentioned?

No offense taken, I am a novice. I did try several known good bulbs to no avail. There is a GFCI receptacle nearby and there is power to that.

Do you have a meter or tester to tell if you have power at the switch. You will have to do this with the power on so be careful!

There is a GFCI receptacle nearby and there is power to that. Sorry but again to ask the obvious did you try to reset the GFCI?
