I've done quite a bit of scrounging through the forums on this, but am looking to confirm some ideas for my specific situation:
-- Getting ready to do a kitchen tile backsplash.
-- The tile is glazed ceramic 1" mosaic (13" sheets) 3/8" thick, 1/16" spacing
-- The tile will be appied to "roughed-up" painted drywall.
Are the following items good to use? Suggestions welcome!
-- Versabond thinset (polymer modified, white)
-- 1/4" square trowel (or is v-notch better??)
-- unsanded grout
Thanks very much for any advice!!

From your nic I know you are a man. :D
Those tiles sound like stone tiles, not ceramic, actually porcelain tiles. Using the 1/4" square trowel many be OK, but I think I'd use a 1/4" or 5/16" V instead. Everything else sounds OK to me.
