Hi, We have an IR refrigerated air dryer for our 25hp compressor. Yesterday the red fault light went on and naturally the dryer isn't working. I know the coils are clean because we frequently blow air through them and twice a year the coil cleaner. I had a fan running on it for an hour and still nothing. This morning (after being off all night) the situation is still the same. I have a service tech coming this morning to check it out. Just wondering what your thoughts on it might be.
Thanks,
Joe

well it's not frozen up because you had it off overnight and it still won't work. It could be any number of things, freon leak, bad compressor, electrical problem. I had one once that I knew was working but I kept getting a fault indication. Turned out the sensor for the fault circuit was malfunctioning. It was hard to fix because the sensor was buried under several inches of hard packed insulation.
