I have a bath tub from a 1920s vintage, craftsman style house that had been refinished/resurfaced in place approximately 6-8 years ago. The surface is starting to peel in a couple of places. I have two questions.

Is there a temporary solution that I can use to repair the spots that are peeling and stop further deterioration?

Second, when I am prepared to resurface the whole tub is there a process that can be successfully applied over the secondary surface or does the recoat need to be removed? If the recoat is to be removed what is the process for doing so?

Thanks,
