Have one of those great white vinyl fences, 6' tall, we really like it but the heat reflection from the sun is baking out our plants and me when I mow. I see some windscreens that look like they would be ok to attach to the fence. Would these help the problem or is there another solution short of moving all the plants?

At my age I don't even buy green Bananas. Can't wait for the trees to grow, need instant relief.

Can you paint the fence a less reflective color?

Spray paint should work.

Not sure my wife would go for that. I figured with the wind screen I could remove it in the colder months.

How large of an area are talking about.

Could a decortive arbor provide shade?

16, 6'x6' sections. Not sure about the arbor, as the white vinyl lattice, comes in 4x8 size, which is not a nice fit. The fence would probably fry whatever I put on it before it established itself.
