1. Can you use ICM to program your panel?

2. Can this device be added to an older SecurityLink SL150 (which is a modified VISTA-20SE system)? In the VISTAICM install guide states this can be used with any VISTA contro panel which supports addressable keypads using ECP but I cannot locate this documentation in my install and setup guide for the SL150.

I know the Compass software can program the panel but using a modem and serial port is old technology. Plus the learning curve on the Compass seems to be more than just a simple web interface.

Thanks.

The Vista-ICM is specifically listed as _not_ compatible with with the Vista 20se, and therefore it's clones.

This thing was designed for the current generation of "P" series panels.

Really, for 90% of single install residential configurations, the time you spend getting Compass to work, you would have been up and running programming from the keypad.

If your goal is to learn the software, have a ball, but that's my take on it...
