Hello. I've been enclosing my carport and am wanting to get done. Basically I am at a dilemma. I have right at the height of a 2x4, or about 1.5 inches or so between the height of the existing LR floor and the carport floor.

Do you guys think it would be really worth it resale or not to raise that up 1.5 inches??? About the only way I can think of doing it is like was done in my neighbors years ago. They laid down 1x4's then came over that with like 7/16 plywood, or 16/32 which brought it real close to existing grade. I just dont know if it's worth it.

Sooooo if I did not want to do that what would be a way I could transistion from the LR floor to the carport floor for carpeting? Here is a photo link that I hope works.

If I did the 1x4 would you anchor them somehow of just some of them and let it float?

Thanks
