My outdoor waterproofing project is almost complete and I've put my sump pump in my cemented crawspace to empty it out but there's just some water that's too low for it to pick up and also the crawl isnt sloped correctly for it all to even get to one spot.
I have a santa fe compact and they charge about 90 bucks for the pump to get the water up and out the window.
However, I got to thinking (and will likely even do this after the project is completed outside) and thought why not just put the santa fe up on a few blocks in the crawl, put a small bucket underneath it, then put the sump pump in the bucket and let that get rid of the excess water and 90+% RH in the crawl? Beer 4U2
I'm hoping once i dry out the crawl that no moisture returns (is gonna be one heck of an electric bill because this costs 5 cents an hour to run) so this would just be a temporary thing but i wanted to put it out there in case anyone wants to save the money on a specialized condensate pump and already has a sump or can buy one cheap.
