Welcome to the forums!
Clear sealers have the shortest life with the thin sealers like thompson waterseal having the shortest life [and not much of a wet look] Flood's CWF may be what you are looking for. I suggest going to your local paint store [not paint dept] and discussing your wants/needs with them. There are translucent/toner stains that will allow all the grain to show while adding just a tint of color.
