I have a stall shower with seperate wall mount hot and cold valves. All of a sudden when I turn on the cold water as I'm turning the knob the valve and pipe chatter. What is the cause and the fix for this? Thanks

Likely a bad washer or cartridge in the valve (depending on brand)..or a partial blockage of some sort.

Pull the cold water valve stem out and inspect and flush the line.
