I had a UV lamp installed in my furnace late March (UVaire 24V Model: UV-16R/24). It worked for about 3 days and then stopped. Called the A/C Company I purchased it from and they installed a new one. This one worked about 2 more months and then died as well (this time with an obvious brown mark on the unit looking like something "cooked" under the plastic). It is powered off the line that feeds the furnace and nothing else has had any problems. I've called the A/C folks again, and as I suspected they are "going to have to look into this". Obviously they don't want to just come out and keep replacing the unit. Any thoughts?

yeah, tell them to replace it now or refund your money.

I agree. Any thoughts on what could be the cause?

As a follow-up. The Mfg. admited that they have had problems with this model. They will replace it with their 120V model.

Powered off what line that feeds the furnace? Your furnace does not operate on 24v.

The broken unit came with a transformer and plugged into a normal A/C outlet.
