hello; i purchased a used gas cooktop and want to convert it to propane ....this is a STERLING cooktop....manufactured by NEW WORLD DOMESTIC APPLIANCE(they were no help)....serial-DOA299....label part-0522-11-900...tried to get a kit from manufacturer but they were no help....need a universal kit or something....maybe a step by step....please help

I checked out their website. They call your appliance a built in hob [must be a UK thing]. Did you try calling them in the UK? I couldn't find any of the numbers you listed. But we might try a back door approach. Can you locate the gas orifices that feed gas to the burners? Using an orifice guage kit, you can measure the size then make a conversion to an LP size. Call these folks and see if they can help you.

Unless you know exactly what you're doing , I suggest that you do not get blanks and try to drill your own orifices. Even I don't like doing it and I know how.
