I purchased the ADT SCW 9047 Alarm about 3 months ago and had it installed with all wireless door and window sensors. After a week one of the window sensors kept claiming the zone was open even though it wasn't. This forced us to bypass that zone every night so it wouldn't trip the alarm system. I contacted the installer and was told to bring them the sensor so they could verify if it was defective and they would replace it.
It has been over 2 months and now they will not return my calls so I am left with an error on my alarm letting me know there is a problem with the connection to that particular zone that the sensor was connected to.
How do I remove this zone completely from my system so that I can rearm my house and just purchase a new sensor and readd that zone later myself? I have tried looking at the manual they gave me but all I can find is information on adding more zones but not removing them.

DSC doesn't make this very clear...
To fully remove this device takes 2 steps: (I will use zone 3 as an example)
Go to program with *8 [installer code]
001 (zone programming)
The zone setting for zone 1 is displayed
use the arrow keys to get to the setting for zone 3
change it to 00
Press #
804 wireless programming
03 (select zone 3)
Change the displayed serial number to all zeros.
Press # until you exit programming.
Read through this in your programming manual, to make sure you grasp what has been described.
