I unplugged the dehumidifier for a few weeks since the kids kept turning it on and off as a game :madhell:
The basement is now starting to smell mossy :(so I tried to plug it back in.
When I plug it into the wall receptacle I hear a beep from the back of the unit but the "On" button on the face of the unit doesn't work, no light, no sound, and no service :confused:
So I opened the front panel and there was a small 1"x1" electrical part that was intended to sit across 2 of the coils that seemed to have floated off onto the grill area. I put it back on to the coils, still nothing :(
Any ideas? Or since this was made in Jan '06 have I gotten my expected use out of it?
