We're getting ready to move out of this apartment and into a house but the walls here are filthy because we have lived here so long with a small child. I have tried cleaning the walls with a magic eraser but the paint is so cheap that it starts to come off - and the magic eraser is leaving streaks.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you have been there over a year paint should fall under normal wear and tear. Ck your state reg's on this

i tend to agree with pugs....this may be a turnover issue with the landlord...some do charge deposits for it...which i dont agree with

contact your landlord before you stress too much over it or waste too much time

I used to work for a painting contractor that used cheap paint - the only remedy is to touch up with the same paint [or repaint]

I agree with the others - check with the landlord and depending on what he says, the gov't.

btw - welcome to the forums!
