I have a Homelite chainsaw with a 16inch bar. It is 33cc and the serial number is UT10947D. This saw's brake seems to be stuck on. I opened it up as best I could and it looks like the spring which engages the brake is too tight or the release mechanism is not working properly. As the damn thing is all molded plastic I can't get to the spring because I am afraid to break it...Does anyone know how I could fix this issue without taking this saw back to the dealer? Thanks
Iain

Dis-engage the brake by pulling the brake handle toward the rear of the saw.
