What is the best thread sealant to use on marine bolts?

It depends on where the bolts are used.
I use teflon sealant on i/o bolts, brp gasket sealant on outboard bolts that have to seal water.
As for any bolt that goes into or through the fiberglass or aluminum including motor mounts use leak check or a auto body seam sealer.
