I already used TSP to clean my kitchen cabinets (doors only so far). Now after reading "The Ideal Cabinet Repaint", I realize I better use shellac based primer which requires no TSP by any means as I understood, ammonia and water only. Can I still proceed by washing the doors over with ammonia/water solution followed up by using shellac based primer?

One more question in general: can latex-based paint be used over shellac-based primer, or over oil-based primer?

Many thanks
