I have a amana gas dryer model#alg866saw. It started making a bunch of noise like it was unbalanced or something. Finally it stopped and just stopped. I tried to restart the cycle and it was only humming when I tried to get it to start. Then if I kept pressing it would attempt to turn making a bunch of noise as if unbalanced. Finally some smoke came out and it stopped altogether. Anyone have any suggestions what might be the problem?

something stuck in the blower wheel perhaps. need to tear it down to check
