I have a kitten that decided tinkle on the area rug when a large thunder storm approached, she was scared from the lighting. How can I clean the rug it is a 2 by 8 foot without harmning it any further. I managed to get up the bulk but it still has an odor, the rug eed to be cleaned anyway it is in a heavy traffic area between the kitchen " refrigiator" and living room. thanks gk

Taking it and having it professionally cleaned (if its a good quality rug) would be the simplest solution. Esp since it needs cleaning anyway.
