:eek:Help! I was carrying a lit candle to our office room and spilled candle wax:wall: all over the wall; semi gloss white. I was able to remove the wax from the carpet with paper towels and an iron but it wouldn't work for the walls and we need to desperatley paint. Can anyone tell me how to remove the wax, so we can paint? Thanks!Milkmanswife!

Hi and welcome to the forum! I'm not sure if there's a special way or not, but have you tried using a scrapper or putty knife or something similar and just scrape it off? Seems it should work.

Since you will be painting anyway...I think scraping would probably be best, followed by sanding to blend any marks. I have taken a paper towel soaked in Goof Off and applied it to wax with constant pressure and then removed it just as it was almost dry..but that will probably take longer and do more damage to the paint in the long run.

Thanks folks! Guess I'll be dragging out the putty knife tomorrow lol! I figured that was probably my best choice too....Thanks, Sincerely, Milk:)

I used a hair dryer. It remelted the wax, and I was able to 99% off with some paper towels.

Just a thought.
