Hello, I have been having a problem with my kitchen sink for quite awhile now. I'm not sure the model of the faucet. Anyway the problem is my faucet is putting out low pressure. The sprayer is fine, comes on full blast. I have taken off the aerator and that didn't fix it. I've taken off the spout and turned the water on to see if I would get pressure. (I put a tube over it so that it would direct it to the sink lol). I got full pressure that way. As soon as I put on the spout and the screw on top (can provide pictures if needed) it goes back to almost a dribble. I have cleaned out the spout, tried with/without aerator on, and it's still low pressure. The sprayer is still going full blast though. I also couldn't find a diverter on the sink, just a hole in the front. Any idea where to go from here?
Thanks in advance :D

I just reassembled it and it's still at the same pressure, but when I slowly turn up the knobs for more pressure once it gets to a certain point you hear a squeel sound, and then the pressure goes down to a dribble. this is driving me nuts now :wall:

Well..a little late here...don't know why I didn't see this....anyway.
What brand of faucet? 2 handle I presume since you said knobs.
Without knowing the brand..it would be hard to say exactly what it it is..but I'd have to think you have a problem with the diverter blocking/redirecting the flow. I know you said you couldn't find a diverter..but unless it was removed..it has to be there somewhere.
If you feel like posting pics, they need to be uploaded to a pic hosting site like Photobucket, then insert the HTML code into your post using the insert image button.

tyvm for your reply
the model is the Peerless P25-L
I found the diverter in there, I didn't think it was that big. I attempted to turn it with a coin (it's the plastic one) and it seems as if it's jammed. Is there any other way to remove the diverter that won't damage it?
Thanks

Wow..their site is almost impossible to use effectively. It jumps around so much I can't find any really useful info. I've never worked on a Peerless, so I can't advise how to remove the diverter..sorry.
Just looking at the faucet cost though, I'd have to suggest replacing it completely. If you could find the part (and they don't tell very well how to remove it), you'd still have a faucet that had been taken apart and put together several times. Replacing the parts might run $10 or so.
It appears the diverter just pulls straight out..but as I said..hard to tell.
I see its discontinued but it only had a list price of around $32 when new. Not really a very expensive unit. A replacement would run about the same cost. Probably less if you check the clearance bin.
A Delta or a Glacier Bay would have commonly available parts.
Sorry, wish I could give better info.

Yes they do on the Peerless/Delta, and you can buy replacement and just shove it back in the hole. Home center's plumbing dept. should have.
