Hi all. I have a few questions. I have an old house in the Heights of Houston built in 1925. It was originally pier and beam with cinder block piers. The houses I've seen around here have piers (by "pier" I mean the part above ground not counting the concrete footing in the ground) that are two cinder blocks high. Mine are only one block high; through the years the bottom blocks have sunken into the ground.

When I bought the house one inspector refused to go under the house saying it was too low. Another inspector went underneath, but finding an inspector willing to do so took a few calls. I'm worried that when I go to resell the house in a few years, an inspector might scare off a prospective buyer by saying "I'm not going under there," or by saying that the house is otherwise excessively low.

So my question is: is this a problem? If the house is LEVEL, but is just low, is there something about that that makes it a serious problem? If so, what is a reasonable price for having it lifted by a cinder block? I've attached photos. Thanks to all in advance.
