I am soo confused - we just redid our bathroom with 12x12 floor and 6x6 wall ceramic tile. Now to install the new pedastal sink - how am I supposed to bolt the sink base to the floor? The bolt they provided just goes in about an inch or so and it will not catch the tile. I used a 3/16 ceramic drill bit to make a nice hole in the floor tile, but now cannot figure out how to get this base installed. Do I drill it a little bigger and put a large plastic anchor in the floor, or will that not hold either?
I figure that once I get the base installed, I would just use toggle bolts for the two wall connections. Any help is appreciated!!!!

You don't want the bolt to catch the tile, if that happens the tile will crack. The bolt should go through the tile and screw into the sub floor, if its not long enough get a longer one.
If you didn't put backing in the wall for the bowl you have little choice but to use toggles, not the greatest idea, luck. :(

Shacko is right on here. Drill a hole in the tile that is larger than the screws so as not to crack the tile, and use longer screws that will reach the subfloor.
Yep, you should have installed blocking in the walls prior to installing the wallboard.

A combination of wall blocking, anchoring to the floor and caulking is the best method for providing a secure setup on a pedestal lavatory installation.

Yup - a wider drill width through the tile with a longer bolt did the trick. Anchor bolts in the walls worked to secure it perfectly. Thanks!
