hello everyone, i just registered to this new forums, so please dont flame me too bad...lol
i just today purchased a new system from adt, its the simon 3, i had 2 smokes, 1 motion, and 1 door installed by the installers,.
since those guys have gone, i have purchased 1 more smoke, 2 more door sensors and 1 more motion.
my question is : is their a way for me to program these into the system from the simon 3 control panel ? the installers are 3 hours away from my home, and charge $45.00 per hour plus travel time and mileage, so they have me for 6 hours of just travel, i sure would like to be able to do these myself.
any help from someone would be greatly appreciated, i understand the basics of the system so far as to what is in the user guide, but the technical stuff as to programming the smokes,motions, and doors will probably need to be step by step,,,, yeah im kinda slow....lol again thanks for any help you guys can offer.

You need to start with the installer manual:

About the only difference between the standard GE model and the one they tweak for ADT is the default installer code.
If you plug "ADT installer code" into your favorite search engine, you will get a number of results with the code, if you don't already have it.

Hi:
I reset the Simon 3 to factory default and now I programmed my own password. The only problem I have is that all the sensors will not work. I followed the installer manual where it said to open the sensor change the battery and push the bottom in it to let the brain recognize the sensor but for some reason that is not working. The programming on the brain said that the adding sensors feature is not available. Can anyone help?:wall:

Don't use the master code (or any other code) to do this, you need the installer code.
