Certain objects with glass inlay relies on just gravity. Have you tried to tip it over and see?

Have you tried toilet plunger? In case it is lightly held in by some putty or whatever?

If adhered, and you are afraid of grass shrapnel flying towards your juggler vein or eyes while trying to remove, IF your piece is not some highly valued antique!!, where any revision to the piece would reduce it's value, - you could remove the drawers, turn it upside down, and use a forstner drill bit in a power drill to drill through the top, from the underside, then use a dowel to push on the glass. This would be most safe as the glass will be forced away from you as opposed to prying out on the glass from the topside and risking flying glass shards.

Harbor Freight I believe sells those glass pane holding suction cups. You might look into that, if they are reasonable and the first 2 suggestions do not work, before doing any drilling. And if this is a prize antique, do not drill. And maybe for safety sake, take the whole thing to a glass shop and let them do it.
