I'm looking for a CO detector recommendations.
A C Plug in. Is one brand better than another?

Also,whats the useful life expectancy?

Go with the brand that you like the look of from your local home center. Kidde, First Alert, BRK, etc; they are all pretty equivalent. They are all based on much the same detection technology.

Figure on about 4-7 years, depending on the cleanliness of the local environment and the stability of the electrical grid (even with battery backup, brownouts take their toll...)

Thanks for your reply. I think i'll go with kidde. 5-7 years sound reasonable
