I had an incandescent ceiling mounted spot light used as accent lighting, and replaced it with a low voltage 4" recessed fixture. An electronic transformer was used to produce the 12 volts. I continued to use the same, existing dimmer switch, as the specs for the electronic transformer said it is designed to work with standard incandescent dimmers. The light works fine at full intensity (dimmer fully on), but it flickers (like a strobe light) at any of the dimming levels. There was no flickering when the dimmer was controlling the incandescent light.

To make things even more weird, I have an another, almost identical setup, except with two LV recessed lights powered by one electronic transformer, but it doesn't flicker. It uses the same type of dimmer switch. Got any ideas on what's going on?
