Walls and Ceilings - Is this a load bearing wall?

Can anyone tell me if the wall in the picture below is load bearing. Here are a few observations:

- it runs perpendicular to the roof trusses immediately above it.
- It is adjacent to a supporting beam in the basement below it.
- It does not seem to be framed properly for a supporting wall as there is no header above the opening.
- There are several trusses in the house that are the same as the ones above this wall and span the length of the house.
- The wide opening framed one of those recessed sliding doors.

I would greatly appreciate any help or insight you can give.

I would have to say that NO it is not a load bearing wall. It's too short and like you said, ho header. Trusses are engineered to span a large distance. So in my opinion, tear it down!!
