This is what the gap between the tub and tile is. This gap is pretty much the same for all 3 walls. I've researched and read that I want to use clear silicone to fill in the area, but that doesn't seem right. Is there something else I can put in? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

There are colored caulks available to match your grout. Check with a good tile supplier, not big box.

Oh, and I should mention it is about 9/16" deep.

Put some backer rod in the cavity and then, as Bill says, white or colored caulk to your liking.

Should I use some PowerGrab or something to adhere the rod to the tub lip?

Wouldn't hurt if you think the rod is going to pop out before you get the caulking cured. :coffee:

my big box, here has both sanded and non sanded caulk that matches the most common grouts used, the sanded grout may be a touch harder to clean but the match is pretty perfect.
looks like you have an antique white or linen colored grout?
I normally use a 3/16" tile spacer laying flat as my gap, then tape it off when grouting with painters tape, then caulk the gap then is only about 1/8" and allows the tile flange to do it job.
