Any ideas to get my hard-wired smoke alarm to stop chirping? Here's what I've tried so far:
1. New battery
2. New smoke alarm
3. Take out battery, turn off electricity for a few minutes, put battery back in and then turn electricity back on.
I'm positive the chirping is not coming from a near by alarm.

Some models chirp when the sensing chamber has drifted out of proper range. Replace the unit.
