The oven and broiler would not light, although i smelled gas. After looking at previously asked and answered questions, i changed the igniter. Now...no gas is going to the oven/broiler but the stove-top burners are working. Is there a safety valve reset that I'm not seeing??
Thanks.
Thanks.

I no longer have the packaging for the ignitor so I cannot give you the exact part #, but no, it is not glowing.

ok well first thing to do is see if you get a resistance reading on the new ignitor, it's possible that it is bad. If it checks out ok, then see you are getting 120 volts to the ignitor and if not trace back to the controller to see if you have 120 volts output there. There should be a wiring diagram on the stove otherwise you can get one at fridgaire.com (http://www.fridgaire.com) click on customer support then click on manuals.

Well, I checked the volts to the ignitor, none. then i noticed in the bottom corner of the stove, a heat shield. I removed the screw holding it in place and found that the coupling had come unplugged. i replugged it and the stove and broiler work just fine now!! I must have unplugged it inadvertantly while re-connecting the ignitor:wall:
thanks for all your help!!

That can be frustrating but I'm glad it was something simple. Thanks for the feedback.
