howdy !new here, i have a 24 horse briggs thats bent a push rod (common from what i read) question is mine has a valve guide that has moved can i replace the guides or do i need to bring it to shop ? SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED?? THANKS IN ADVANCE BuckBeer 4U2

Yes on both accounts Buck, Once a new guide is installed it must be reamed to proper specs.....

I would charge $37.50 labor plus parts and tax of course.....

Well,

Looks like I spoke too soon...*foot in mouth*, There's a good chance there's no replacement guides for your head. If that's the case a new head assembly would be required.

Can you post both the model and type numbers off your engine ?

OK Buck, As suspected there are no guides. A new head assembly kit is $80.10 per side....
