The brick planter was built up against our front steps and against the brick house. It has since pulled away from the wall and is allowing moisture down into the basement (not to mention the lovely snails and various other little creatures that have come in through the hole? I have searched and searched and really need someone well versed in brick/masonry to suggest a fix (that hopefully doesn't include tearing out the entire front steps, planter, etc...- we really can't afford that in our current situation). We were thinking we could remove the dirt, pour a concrete back and partial bottom to seal the hole/leak but have no idea what to use. I am just afraid that we will use the wrong product and won't be able to remove it. Please help- our basement is getting worse each day. Not sure how to add photos, but I have some here if it helps...
