I want to provide flashing where a new stucco wall meets an existing staircase of pre-cast concrete. The pre-cast treads are 1 1/2" thick with 2" at the nosing. Risers are 1 1/2" thick. I have seen a good detail for flashing to a horizontal surface which involves an L sort of metal (with greater than 90 degree angle) sealed to the surface of the concrete, with a casing bead or weep screed layed over that which terminates the stucco about 5/8 inch above the concrete. I'd like to run some continuous flashing down the entire length of the staircase to keep water out and it seems like this detail could be very tricky to apply to 20 or so treads and risers. Any ideas? Thanks!
