On the walk to our house there are 5 walk lights, 3 on one side, 2 on the other and all on the same 3 way circuit. When I turn them on at night the one light at the far end of each side exhibits a slight hesitation in responding while the others come on instantly. Can one of you experts tell me the reason why this should be? Thanks.

My guess is a loose or corroded connection at the light feeding this one or at the light itself.

Welcome to the forums! If these are line voltage, then it is quite possible a corroded or loose connection, or the tightness of the bulb in the base.
Oops, sorry wirenut, your response flipped above my screen and I didn't realize I duplicated your answer.
