I am trying to wire an ademco MPS51C door sensor. It has three wires and can't find any instructions on how to mount it or wire it. I want to wire it so it is a non alarm zone. If anyone knows how to wire this and set this up I would appreciate it. Thanks

What panel is this on? What keypad do you have? Do you have a spare zone?

I have an Ademco Vista 20P, with a 6270 keypad and there is an extra zone.

This particular contact has common, normally open and normally closed connections. You will use only 2 of the 3 wires and tape off the unused one.

Unless you are doing something strange, use the pair that is closed when the magnet is in proximity.

You screw the contact to the floor (I like 3/16 tapcons) at one edge of the door and mount the magnet to the inside face of the door.

Sometimes it's easier to mount the magnet to the door, and line up the switch.

No voodoo, it's just hardware...
