What would be a good brand and model of toilet to buy ? I dont want to spend more than $250.

Replaced my Mom's ancient unit couple of years ago with an American Standard Cadet 3 and she's been very pleased with it.

I've had great success with the americans standard cadet 3 and champion 4 models.

Cadet 3 has worked well in our guest bath. Good flush, quick refill, cleans easily...I think it has the silver in the glaze.

If youre a costco member they sell a complete toilet at a very good price.
