I have a brick fireplace and Im considering using the same area for a wood burning stove. What are my options for using a model that will work with a fireplace? I dont want it to stick out too far. There is a brick area at the bottom that maybe sticks out a foot or two in width from the front area of the fireplace.

Fireplace inserts are very popular options for improving the efficiency of an existing FP. Options are pellets, wood, or gas, plus corn, cherry seeds and a few other novelty fuels. You can search the internet, but best to visit the local stores to see and talk about fuel supplies and installation.
