I need to know ezactly what a Tech is suppose to do.

Im gonna pay this Carrier Tech to inspect my entire Heat Pump.

From Cooling to Electrical.

I know a little. For starter I need to know what the Pressure are. The Low and High and what temp inside the House and outside. I need to know about the electric too becuase the Heat Pump just sucks electricity.

So please in FULL DETAIL explain what to do from cooling the House to its electricial side, what do you check? In FULL DETAIL PLEASE!

The side of the Unit has a chart for Temps and Volts and ETC.

Its a Carrier 50XZ! Thanks.

Let the tech do his job and give you an assessment as to the systems health and status. But ask that he write down pressures (high and low), all temps (before and after the indoor coil to get delta t, take a reading for yourself of indoor and outdoor temps, and electrical draw (indoor blower, outdoor fan, outdoor compressor, etc.)

If you doubt the assessment just post the numbers here. If you feel good about the assessment, you now have baseline data to know when the system is not working right.

you know a good service tech dosent need to hook up gauges to check your unit it risks contamination and takes a little bit of your freon.airflow and air temps along with some other checks can tell you if your unit is in good shape
