Doors and Windows - Double hung window not staying up-Different!!!

Hi-This is a different window. I was so proud to be able to show my husband that I could fix the window-I opened & removed the window, only to find the balances right where they are supposed to be! This window does not slam down the way the other window did. It slides down slower, but it still doesnt stay up. Any ideas on repair? :wall: Jina

Jina, did you securely lock the pins in the nylon receivers on both sides of the window. Sometimes, if you miss one, it will affect the opening and closing. With all the connections made properly and it still not staying up, it may indicate time to replace one or both of the coil spring units. Let us know.

Chandler-Thank you so much! That fixed it! We found 1 other window that has the same problem. We are confident we can fix that one as well. Im doing "the happy dance". :) Jina
