i have an older golf cart and i have spark just not a stong. im also having troubles with it back firing. i have searched and searched trying to find the timing. anyone have any advise???

Need more information!
1. Will it start and run decent.
2. When is it backfiring, when trying to start, or when starting and driving under power,or when letting off the gas when slowing down.
Very rare to have a timing problem with these engines unless someone has had the timing plate off under the flywheel.
