Hi,
Could someone guide me, please? I am a beginner and your help would be more than appreciated.
Our alarm system (DSC - PC1555) has on the instant zone (03) a patio door. I have only 6 zones on the panel board and 2 zones on the keypads. All zones are used. I would like to install on the same zone with the patio door a glass detector Acuity DSC AC-100 (both to use the same zone – Z3).
When I take out the patio door and connect only the break detector on zone Z3 everything is ok. When I connect them both in series, none is working when I trigger an alarm.
The way I connect the glass break detector:
On the glass detector 12V + = red wire;
GRD - = black wire;
C = yellow;
NC = green.
On the PC1555 board :
12V + = red wire;
GRD - = black wire;
Z3 = yellow;
COM = green.
Am I doing the right thing or there is no way of installing both on the same zone?
Many thanks,

you need to connect the yellow wire from the GB to one of the wires to the the door contact, then the green from the glass break to the point where the door contact wire WAS
you will only have 1 wire in the Z-3 spot. you will have 2 in the " COM " the other to the door contact, the other is the common for Z-4

you should have the power coming from the PRG 2 spot- that way you can re-set it if it trips- if not connected there, the LED will stay on, it SHOULD not affect the unit, itd will still work.
to re-set, you can go to the unit, and disconnect the red wire for a sec & re-connect.
if your not using the PRG output for anything else-, you might want to do that. you always risk blowing up the G/B by shorting it out with a live wire ( the red one in your hand ) when removing & re-connecting.
using the PRG you simply press *72 and the unit looses power for a few seconds & resets the LED. AGAIN- even if the LED is latched on, the unit will still detect again.
i guess this is a good thing- you get a false rom Z-3, you'll know if its the door or glass, if the LED is on, then thats the false, if off- then it was the door.
either way- this LED is latched until reset.

Just remember, on a DSC, setting the PGM to sensor reset (03) is a switching ground, so your ground for the glassbreak power goes there. + power stays where you have it.

Everything works fine now.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello,
I'm going to do a similar thing as the above poster.
Two sets of sliders have 2wire contacts on Z2. Both sliders on Zone2. I wish to add the Acuity AC-100, 4 wire to each slider, and keep it on Z2.
The two conductors from the sliders go to Z2(R) and Com(B).
The Acuity has Y,G,R,B. Since the DSC is NC this needs to be wired in series.
I'm "ASSuming:
Pull the Black slider Com wire and tie it to the Y of the first Acuity.
First Acuity G to second Acuity Y.
Second Acuity G to Z2 com where the original slider black was.
Rd and Blk to DC power?

Yup, that's it. As in the previous posts, it's best if you use the PGM connection to provide a reset function.
