Hi,

New to this site. Would like to know if it is ok to have my lawn cut directly after spreading patch disease treatment throughout the lawn. Here's the deal; my landscaper is separate from the company who treats my lawn. Today at 9am the treatment company came and applied a patch disease application over my entire lawn. Around 10 am my landscaping crew comes along and does the weekly cut. My question is will the patch disease treatment still be effective? Thanks

Clem

Assuming this was a liquid application you should be ok if the product was dry on the plant. You could however get less than optimum control as part of the active ingredient was mown off. Call your pest control company and get their opinion. If they are honest they will shoot you straight and not just tell you they need to reapply if they do not.

Thanks for responding Kerry. I'll be speaking with my arboist this evening. The application is not liquid - it's applied dry with a spreader.

It's very possible the mowing pulled up granules and redistributed them very unevenly. If the mower was a bagger you probably lost a lot of material.

I would think a reapplication is probably a good idea.

After speaking with the arboist last night I found out that this year they are using a liquid application as opposed to a dry application so I think I am in good shape. He assured me that the mowing will have no impact on the effectiveness of the brown patch liquid treatment. Thanks everyone..
