We have an OLD rose bush. (It's been in the same spot for over 31 years. We cut it back to the ground just about every year, and it comes back to bloom regularly. This year it just doesn't seem to be growing much. I'm thinking it is way past due for a good shocking. Digging it up and splitting it apart would do this, but when is the best time to do this????:confused:

Hi Chuckret,

Sounds like you have a real gem of a rose. The best time to transplant a rose is in late winter when they are still dormant. I'm not sure you will be able to 'split' it. You might want to take some cuttings for insurance.
